Bach: English Suites;  Edward Parmentier, harpsichord (Jacques Germain, Paris, 1785) WLBR 9302

"This new set by Parmentier is the type of thing that pretty much eclipses everybody else's recording of the English Suites.  It's multidimensional playing.  As with the essential Partitas set, he clarifies levels of the music that seem lacking when other people are playing.  And the recorded sound is, as usual, also clear."
